However, positive aspects included a nice atmosphere, attentive waiters, and delicious food. Some diners were disappointed with service, noting they were ignored or had to wait an extended time for drinks and meals. In contrast, others praised the establishment for its exceptional food quality, recommending the turkey club sandwich and cobb salad. While some reviews were critical of the service, others commended the staff's attentiveness and kindness, providing great dining experiences.
We went on a Sunday morning after church. We got the last table before the line formed. We wanted a full breakfast, which seemed pricey but noticed a breakfast sampler. Had eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, home fries and pancakes! Just what we were looking for. Add 2 coffees and we were set and out the door for less than $50. Service was good and quick, and food came out hot. The dining room is small and cramped and loud, but they make it work.
Okay. So where do I begin? First of all, the staff was either very nice or very rude. Second of all, how on earth can you charge that much for a salad? It's Bronxville, not Florence.
The food was satisfactory, but the main issue was that they added an additional gratuity without informing me. When the waitress brought the bill, I gave her a cash tip and she swiftly tried to collect it before I saw the total. This is not good business practice and has cost them a loyal customer. Adding a tip is fine, but deliberately taking more than twenty percent without my knowledge, on top of an additional 18 percent, is unacceptable.
The server was very rude and unprofessional. I observed them chatting with each other while guests waited to be seated. The food was mediocre, the service was terrible, but the atmosphere was nice.
