Contribute FeedbackIn the ever-evolving culinary landscape, one restaurant has recently sparked mixed reviews among its patrons. Former fans lament a decline in food quality, citing burnt, greasy dishes and bland flavors that fall short of authentic Latino cuisine. Complaints extend to subpar customer service and inconsistent portion sizes, leading to calls for improvement. Nonetheless, some diners cherish the generous portions and delightful offerings, especially the rare tamarind juice and well-prepared Dominican dishes. This local gem continues to evoke nostalgia for some, but others leave feeling disappointed, urging potential diners to approach with caution based on recent experiences.
Small place only 3-4 two person tables , but the food and service were very good. I recommended to order tke out. I havent try it, but you can even order online. They serve latino food and have delicious tamarind juice and that's hard to find! I've eating here 5 times and never been disappointed. The lady was very generous with the portions and I couldn't even finish that huge plate, hahaha.
In 2016 when I work in Petco I was pregnant and every Saturday I buy sancocho. Now I pregnant again and estoy antojada de sancocho, I go to call then to know when they make a sancocho
Simply amazing. I had all the vegetarian options and all of it was fresh, well presented, appetising and delicious. I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant tucked away and hidden in Dogpatch! Our server was very polite and helpful in recommending choices and their wine list is equally impressive. I had a very satisfying and fulfilling meal!
We had a wonderful time in this spot. We loved the great atmosphere and the menu. The staff were very affable. I’m content we finally managed to eat here.
I’m a very picky eater and I don’t like greasy foods or servers with bad hygiene or staff who do not observe proper cleanliness protocol and I am very quick to report a restaurant on my NYC311 app when I see something I don’t like that doesn’t look like it’s going to get better and quickly! I get breakfast and sometimes lunch 2 or 3 times per week here. If they had issues before, they’ve since resolved them. And if I see something I don’t like that they don’t resolve quickly, look for an updated review on my part and expect a 311 complaint! Reporting is something we can all do (and should do! . I reported a deli up the block for the sandwich guy eating and dropping crumbs from his mouth over the food prep area and they sent them a warning letter and now I don’t see that anymore! Eat and be merry!
