The chips were either too small or too thick, there was no medium option and the fish was very hot and boiled with the skin on, which some people do not like and do not eat. The takeaway boxes were sturdy, but they needed a wider carry bag to lay them flat. Additional packaging would be helpful as well, as I had to carry the boxes under my arm and they were hot. The chips were a bit dry and crispy, and it seemed like they were not cooked at the same time as the fish. It was disappointing that there was no option for salt and vinegar, as the food tasted too salty. It seemed like my friend could taste salt even through the fish, so I'm not sure if it was added in the kitchen. The cost was reasonable at around £10.50 for a medium fish and large chips. When ordering online, there was no option for a medium fish, and they tended to default to large. Waiting for the order could be more comfortable, and having some reading material would be a nice touch.

I will definitely be going back for the quality fish and chips. Best in the area.

Always ch... read more Hello again My first takeaway in 2019 diet starts next week) and I throughly enjoyed it. The guys including the lady who runs this now are excellent . Always chatty , very well dressed and always happy to help if you want some advice....The menu is extensive and the fish always fresh and plentiful. Their pies sausages and saveloy are always good. They also offer a special of the day and a mini fish and chip option for the little ones or Evan for those with a small appetite) If you order by phone 9 times out of 10 your order is ready when you get there that’s unusual for takeaway orders) They also have an eat-in option I have not tried it but again it looks good I can only recommend this as I find it but I think you know my reviews by now Fish isn’t just for Friday’s and remember to mention my recommendation . If your not happy tell them then let me know .

My partner picked up takeout tonight and was shocked at the prices - over £22 for plaice and chips and cod and chips. To make matters worse, the fish was overcooked. What's more, we noticed an easily accessible menu showing both meals were £5 cheaper in total. When my partner asked about this discrepancy, he was told that they were not supposed to display those menus. There was no offer to honor the lower prices from the menu. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
