Got the Stewed Pork Hand Ripped Noodles and the Cucumber Salad, will definitely get again. It was pretty busy when I went but between the kiosk and the cashier, everyone placed their order and picked up their food pretty quickly. View all feedback.
What Mary Ann C dislikes about Xi'an Famous Foods Xī ān Míng Chī:
Xian’s noodles are always great.Went around lunchtime and to be fair there is always a lunch rush but the staff seemed very I’ll equipped to handle it. It took over 35 minutes for the food to be ready (1 order of noodles)Handed me a takeout bag where the lid wasn’t securely on the container so broth and chili oil spilled everywhere. They apologized and said they would make me a new order but it would be another 30 mi... View all feedback.
This is an excellent, authentic Western Chinese restaurant. The flavors are fantastic, and the service is quick. The place is clean and well-prepared for the lunch rush. Prices are reasonable, and it brings back memories of dining in Chengdu. Well done!
The best branch in Xian. When the female chef is working, the food is always outstanding. I'm so glad they're now open on Sundays!
As for the food, the noodles were fresh and had an authentic taste. The regular spice level was pleasantly mild, even for someone like me who prefers milder flavors, with just enough heat and numbing sensation. We noticed there’s additional seating in the back, as the front seating area is quite small.
Ordered the regular spicy and tingly beef pulled noodles. The meat was delicious, and the noodles were a little chewy, very long, and thick. If you can’t handle spice, I’d recommend getting mild because the regular is quite spicy. Overall, it was a very good meal. I’d give it an 8! The liang pi tastes quite good. I also appreciate their chili oil. The only thing is that they didn’t put fried peanuts in the liang pi this would make the dish tastes MUCH more authentic and better!!! Please consider making that an add on option!!!
