Smør - Broad Channel
Smør
Description
Nestled in a charming Lower Manhattan neighborhood, this cozy Scandinavian café serves standout smørrebrød, smoked fish, shrimp toast, hearty schnitzel and indulgent Danish pastries alongside crisp cocktails and superb lattes. The atmosphere is hygge—intimate, buzzy and popular—though indoor seating is small and outdoor tables can be chilly. Service is often friendly and fast, desserts impress, and flavors feel authentically Nordic, though some guests note uneven service and value concerns.

Way overpriced for the portion you receive. The worst is the employees. The extreme rude attitude and extremely poor customer service set the bar to another level of being unprofessional. Just stay at home if you do not want to be there or get a different job. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Breakfast
One of the BEST Lattes I ever had! I appreciate the service (Anaïs is the best). The vibe of the bakery is also so nice. I will definitely be returning. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I stopped in during early afternoon and enjoyed the food. The staff provides excellent support and obvious value for what they sell. Don't overlook the impressive dessert menu. They offer a spectrum of food choices. My visit exceeded what I thought possible. I expected a nicer dining atmosphere after reading the reviews. It was humid outside but inside wasn’t air conditioned. Sandwiches were true danish fare and the Danes sitting next to us were happy (aren’t all Danes? . So perhaps the fact that I had come clear across lower Manhattan to find this place left me expecting more than sandwiches and sidewalk dining.
