Old Xi'an - Broad Channel
Old Xi'an
Description
Fast-casual noodle spot delivers hearty, affordable bowls with kiosk ordering, friendly staff and speedy pickup—ideal for work lunches. Standouts include spicy cumin lamb and slow-braised beef, while rice noodles absorb flavor better than thick flour varieties. Portions are generous and prices feel like value, but quality is inconsistent: hand-pulled claims are debatable, some dishes arrive greasy, bland, or with tough pork. Plastic to-go containers and limited table service/utensils detract from the experience, making it a mixed but worthwhile stop for noodle fans.

I really liked the decoration furniture in here however the food i got wasn’t any good. i got the lamb dumplings pork dumplings (both steamed). they both had very little flavor, the wrapping was thick, chewy and undercooked. not a fan of the food at all unfortunately. I was initially attracted to the Chinese atmosphere of their store. I ordered vegetable hand-ripped noodles, which tasted very good and were very kind to vegetarians. It's a good place, and I will be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I discovered this small restaurant by chance. It is decorated in Chinese style and is quite spacious. I ordered a special menu of cumin lamb hand-pulled noodles, which were moderately spicy, and a cold black fungus salad, which tasted amazing. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This restaurant is quite inconsistent. At times, the food is decent, but other times it's not great. I just ordered the stewed pork hand-pulled noodles with extra meat, and to my surprise, there was no meat at all. How can you forget the main ingredient in a dish? They seem to prepare everything very quickly, and it feels like there's a lack of quality control.
