Description

Nestled on the Hillcrest–Boronia Heights border, this family-run Malaysian eatery serves authentic Malaysian–Chinese classics—char kway teow, curry laksa, cereal prawns and marmite chicken—prepared with wok hei and generous portions at great value. Clean, old‑school and casual, the restaurant is praised for friendly service, reliable lunch deals and easy takeaway (with a nearby bottle shop for BYO). Dishes trend toward saltier, occasionally oily, and some items can be pricier or slightly inconsistent, but overall it remains a beloved hidden gem for genuine Malaysian flavors.

The food here is exceptional, and we often travel 20 minutes just to enjoy a meal at this place. It's a charming family-run business that offers a fantastic selection of dishes, along with a welcoming atmosphere. There's even a bottle shop in the same complex for BYO. We've never had a disappointing meal here.

I visit this place every week because it's my absolute favorite. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, and the owners are genuinely friendly. If I could, I would give it 6 stars out of 5!

Was in the area and finding somewhere to eat. Found this place through Zomato. It was located in a quiet area that’s why the business seemed quiet. Looked through the menu, the prices were quite cheap and surprisingly the lunch deal was only $10.50. Has a great serving of Char Kuey Teow; flavored not only with the freshest ingredients, but also the elusive charred aroma from stir-frying the noodles over very high heat in a well-seasoned Chinese wok. It might be common for Malaysian but for me it was a bit oily but I still liked the way it was cooked and flavoured. It was one of the best I have had in Brisbane. Took away a chicken black bean sauce with steamed rice and a Nasi goreng. They both were quite nice and served in generous portions. Nasi goreng was a little lack of flavour, but cooked nicely. The lady owner was nice and friendly. Would like come back with my Malaysian mate.
