Feedback
We enjoy the simple flavours of Willow Gardens. It is a very Australianised Chinese restaurant with all of the old fashioned favorites including fried rice, spring rolls, dim sims, mongolian lamb and more.
Food good but has become a bit tired. The customer service and long waits has really taken the shine off the experience.
My partner loves chinese food so he knows when it is good or not good more than I do. My indicator is that if it doesn't make me feel sick afterwards then it was good. So this place got the thumbs up from him. Have done both dine in and takeaway and both times the food tasted great and it was a reasonable price for what we had too. We went there as our neighbours had said it was the best local chinese so we gave it a go and will continue to do so from time to time.
VALUE AND TASTE. Over the past four years, we have visited Willow Garden Restaurant approximately 2-3 times a month. My wife, who is Asian, is always on the lookout for authentic flavors, and we have consistently enjoyed the meals as well as the warmth of the owner and staff. The restaurant tends to be mostly quiet, which we appreciate, but the take-out area is consistently busy. This might explain some of the waiting times mentioned by another reviewer. It's important to understand that, even with only a few tables occupied, the kitchen is also preparing meals for an additional 20 take-out orders. The Chinese art and decor throughout the restaurant are impressive, and the 70s-inspired bar decor adds a charming touch to the atmosphere. Throughout our many visits, we have never been disappointed.
