My experience with gluten free food is usually one of avoidance of eating out and the risk of cross contamination, unless I do a massive amount of reading and research on line. Last weekend I went to the Vend Markets in Virginia Brisbane Queensland. I 'd seen a post on Coeliac Brisbane face book site that recommended the outing. So I got in the car and drove clear across town to enjoy a gluten free safe meal. They had a bevy of food trucks, and gf wasn 't a problem for me. One in particular called the 'Feel Good Foodie ' food truck is 100% gf and so delicious too. I couldn 't help myself and bought two meals. Karage Chicken and Loaded Fries with pulled pork. The Loaded Fries I had for lunch, so delicious. Then the chicken was for dinner, equally as scrumptious too. I also had a slushee that was very thirst quenching and so cold, especiallybeing such a hot day. It came in raspberry or tropical flavours which was definitely a bonus. The prices are reasonable for a Coeliac, especially when you are satisfied in knowing its Coeliac gf safe. I will be looking out for them in the future at other events!
