I read the previous reviews so decided to try this restaurant. The food was very basic really. No special taste or flavour. Just a big plate of rice with 4 pieces of tasteless chicken. The crispy pork with fried noodles was nothing special. I do not know why other reviewers were praising it really. Also, the 4 pieces of vegetarian spring rolls were the skinniest spring rolls i had ever seen. Overall, a bad experience. Delicious venue for quick, authentic Asian food. An early evening meal for one with tasty Fried Rice with Chicken and Pineapple and an appetiser of Pork Spring Rolls. Both were delicous and freshly prepared, and washed down with an ice cold Asahi beer as Uncle Li 's is licensed. I 'll be back..A Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
When we come back to Brisbane from Surfers Paradise we always drop in to Uncle Li’s” for lunch (or dinner) in the CBD. Food is always great. Uncle Li himself is a very nice man, very friendly, very modest a fantastic cook. He always remembers us we have a brief catch-up chat which makes our dining experience seem even better.
