I couldn't have been more... read more When I first started going to The Scratch I was nervous the ever-changing menu meant I could never be sure I'd find something I like. I couldn't have been more wrong.The staff are excellent and always willing to help you select a drink you'll enjoy. The atmosphere in the bar is exactly what I'm after when I want to catch up with some mates over drinks. It's relaxed, comfortable and warm. The board games they have are always a good time too.Basically if you love good beer, trying new beers or hanging out with people who like either of those things then this is the place you want to be; also, the food is fantastic if you love free peanuts.

We headed inside and were welcomed by... read more My husband and I stopped here as apart of the Foodi.com Beer tour. It was the first bar on the tour and the meeting point. We headed inside and were welcomed by the professional staff that you can clearly tell have a passion for the brew. We sampled 6 beers on tap that day and were treated to a great exploitation on each. The kegs are from small and local brewers and once they run out new kegs/beer are put on. So this place is a great stop to sample some different beers and be entertained with the knowledge from the staff. We did not eat here but I saw they had cheese plates available for order.

Excellent range - always able to buy a beer... read more The team at The Scratch have worked so hard to build up a great line up of beers from around Australia and overseas. Excellent range - always able to buy a beer or three when I visit without having to compromise. They are always ready to talk about the craft and assist the novice (or experienced) beer connoisseur. Being able to BYO food is a bonus as it allows you to bring in your favourite food and match it with a selection from the tap or in the fridge.Looking forward to when you can fill a growler or two to take home.
