Absolutely delicious! We got the butter chicken and korma. It was the best butter chicken of my life! Service is a bit shy at the start but then just beautiful. The main waiter is lovely. We had a Groupon voucher and it was just incredible for what you got for $20.00 each. We took food home there was so much left over. I love Indian and always have Naan and Tandoori. First bite of naan gave me a mouthful of dough that I had to spit out (never had to do that EVER before). Sent it back to kitchen. Hungry so waited for Tandoori Chicken and got pink uncooked chicken that I desperately tried but found it was STILL ICE COLD. Got it put in doggie bag and told her I would cook it later at home. Was recently staying at apartments nearby for work at dined at the Indian Cafe twice.The place was fairly busy every night compared to some of the other restaurants nearby and the crowds didn't lie.I tried a butter chicken one night and a nawabi another day. Both under $18 each was really good. My initial impression was that it wasn't terribly cheap but when I had the curry I was so pleasantly surprised. The butter chicken was so tender and well prepared with the creamy tomato gravy that tasted freshly made with quality spices.The Nawabi was a curry I hadn't come across before but again it was so delicious I'm not sure if I can go back to the indian restaurants at home in Sydney anymore. The lamb was also nicely slow cooked and the shredded coconut accompanied the subtle indian flavours so well.Absolutely give it a go!
My partner and I dined at this fantastic restaurant on a Monday evening using a Groupon voucher. We didn't have high expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious curries, amazing garlic naan, and top-notch service. The Dhingri Prawn and Boti Masala Lamb were hands down the best curries we've had in years. If you're looking for excellent Indian cuisine in Brisbane, be sure to check out The Indian Cafe New Farm. And make sure to end your meal with the delightful Malai Kulfi Ice cream.
Armed with a voucher we ventured into Fortitude Valley. We were amazed at the taste and quality of the food. Will definitely be back for more.
Best Indian I have found in brissy. And I come from living in London where you get the best Indian outside of mom's kitchen.
