The staff were very accommodating to personal preferences in ordering. It's a lovely spot to relax when your feet are tired from the markets, allowing you to still soak in the lively atmosphere and enjoy the view of the wheel across the river.

I really enjoyed the pancakes, but I’ve had better New York cheesecake at other cafes. The shop has a charming, vintage vibe that creates a cozy atmosphere, but it’s not ideal for larger groups. Overall, it’s a decent place to visit.

We felt welcomed right up until closing time. Such a beautiful experience!

We arrived at 3.45 and ordered 2 coffees, a hearty pitch and a sausage roll Sorry we can't do the sausage roll because the kitchen is closed. I said I will have a cold quiche, I'm sorry we can't separate the quiche from the salad and the kitchen is closed so we can make the salad. Mmm. Okay, we have two hearty scenes. $22. Finally, we were served after a long waiting period. During this time I saw the cook heated our scones under the grill, but when the kitchen was closed, he could not have a microwave a sausage roll! The addictions were nice and they apologized for so long. At about 4.20 we heard the server that told people that they only takeaways at the time. Now I have worked for many years in hospitality and we served people until the end of time and then clean up. I note on the Brookside website that they should be open until 17.30. Unfortunately, the place is not well maintained, wallpaper peel off, dirty and worn upholstery, finger marks on lampshades and strongly chipped lacquering. I don't think we'll come back
