Scout Cafe in Brisbane offers a mixed bag of experiences, according to online reviews. However, others appreciated the fun decor and friendly service. The menu received mixed reviews, with some finding it lacking in options while others enjoyed the tasty and well-prepared dishes. When we asked two Brisbane locals where we should go to get a good breakfast in Brisbane, both recommended Scout Cafe and now I want to poss on that recommendation. Loved the breakfast bagel, the bircher museli and the coffee. Great stuff, rustic venue, all good stuff. View all feedback.
What Kornelijus Airė dislikes about Scout:
We ordered take away coffee and tea once the order was taken no one seemed interested in actually filling it. We waited and waited and eventually someone started making our drinks. Coffee was poor quality and tea tasted odd. Overall a very poor experience and would not return. View all feedback.
Never seen white chocolate shakes on offer before was very nice. Had smashed avo with an egg. Very refreshing but filling breakky staff very friendly all in all good little spot.
We arrived in Brisbane looking for a snack saw the reviews on Scout and thought sounded good. Coffee was ok but my partners chai was so bad even the staff noticed and to their credit came over to ask if they could replace it. We ate bagels which were only ok. Wasn't a terrible experience but If in Brisbane for a short visit look elsewhere.
We went for lunch. Parking was easy. The service was attentive, friendly and efficient. We had a vegetarian bagel, a chicken bagel, egg & haloumi bagel with avocado and also porridge with raspberry and rhubarb and strawberry/rhubarb syrup. They were happy to vary the orders to particular tastes. The coffees were very nice.We were seated in a separate small room that gave some privacy .In summary, the food was very tasty and served well in a cafe with a pleasant atmosphere.Interestingly the toilet of this older building is round the back. It is clean but with a lowish ceiling. Worth noting is that the light switch is tucked up in the left hand back corner as you enter the room.
Love their ever changing seasonal menu, impeccable service, glorious bagel sandwiches, and their pickles that they pop into them are amazing! Coffee is alright, but the food is SO GOOD. Deffo one of my fave cafes in town!
Great service, great location, great coffee and great food. Menu could be a little more exciting but it still pulls a large crowd every weekend.
