My husband and I are regulars at the Cannon Hill outlet of this restaurant simply because it's close to home and the food is so good. This time we went to the Fortitude Valley outlet because it was more accessible to our friends on the...Northside and the food was a hit with everyone. The noodles, rice, fish, prawns, chicken, beef and vegetable dishes we ordered were all delicious. A large tour group arrived not long... View all feedback.
What Bridget Daniel doesn't like about Satay Ria:
The food and service were fine, so what's so bad. Well when you are sitting in a restaurant, and there are fish slowly dying, they were swimming but struggling to stay vertical, bite chunks taken out of their skin, just awful, you really want to...see slow dying animals while you are eating(or ever) i don't, never ever going back. That was for a birthday dinner and was very satisfied with the choice in which we did return the next weekend for round two! roti canai is amazing and the various dishes that we all shared were delicious. I would highly recommend trying this place.
This restaurant is bright, busy and noisy its intimate atmosphere art of space. it is for people who are hungry and want to taste a lot of spicy delicious dishes. the prices are reasonable and the personal is fast and efficient and. also very happy to smile and be friendly. the red and the rendang are good. we also had a fish dish that was fresh and sharp was very good. the only thing that was a little disappointing was the satay (iron,) which we prefer to grill Malay style instead of Chinese style deep roasted but that is more a question of taste. overall this is a good option and one of the better cheap to medium places in brisbane.
We were looking for a long day in the ekka for a meal. as we walk along the wickham street the valley and noticed that satay ria was the winner 2012 2015 savour australia restaurants catering hosrplus. So we decided to go. eating was authentic malaysian and was surprised that I hadn't tried it until now. the children have their favorite seafood hory fun while my wife goes for laska. I went to share for the ultimate deep roasted whole huh and sweet. I loved it. her service was very good and the lady boos came by to chat with us.
We came after reading the reviews in this restaurant and were not disappointed. although the restaurant was overcrowded with a tourist group, our dishes did not last too long. the seafood laksa melted great and tasted even better beautiful broth with belachan with good balance of the ingredients. the Chill basket was a handful, not sweet and not too sharp, which was wonderful when it dipped with hot rolls. it took a because to finish the chili crab due to the amount of juicy meat and wonderful thick sauce. all this with a wonderfully attentive and helpful waiting staff. we'll be back.
Such good authentic Malaysian curry. Very generous sized portions and good value for money. We got takeaway from here twice during our week in Brisbane
