Prive - Brisbane
Prive
Description
The restaurant Prive249 has received mixed reviews from patrons. While some found the food to be average and disappointing, with portions being stingy and service being awkward and intrusive, others enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and some dishes. One review mentioned that the dessert platter had more than expected and resembled items from the hotel's buffet, with the Matcha blobs being a standout. Another review highlighted the delicious and appropriately sized meals, as well as the romantic atmosphere and friendly staff. Despite some mixed feedback, Prive249 seems to offer a refined dining experience in Brisbane.

There were a few parts of Prive249 that were outstanding. The service was attentive but not too overbearing. The food overall was good, paced nicely so not waiting too long or felt you were in a hurry. The old clock tower was a beautiful view. But there was nothing spectacular about the dishes, they felt very safe. The mornay scallops I would order again, and while the skin was perfectly crisp the meat was overcooked for my liking
Good food, great atmosphere and has the best service&hosts that are out of this world.. The minute that I walked in i knew that i was going to get treatment fit for a queen. Definitely coming back
Sensational food. I have wanted to visit Prive249 for some time now, and finally, I now have! The food is of the highest quality fine dining. Prive is exquisite and the mastery of the chef is well presented on the plate with great presentation and flavours. This is one of Brisbane's best dining experiences.
As a Gold member, I was eager to experience the renowned Sofitel hospitality, but my recent dinner was underwhelming. Despite the difficulty in securing a booking, the restaurant was nearly empty upon arrival. The service was disappointingly ordinary, with the waiter unfamiliar with the menu. This was a stark contrast to the exceptional experiences I've had at Sofitel locations worldwide. Perhaps I’ll give them another chance in the future, hoping for an improved experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$100–120 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
Stayed at week at the Sofitel in business, which was perfectly nice. Decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening, sat down to find there only one vegetarian option on the menu and you've guessed it the old cliche gnocchi! No starters, nothing. Although a good result in the end, I found the amazing Station Restaurant in the mall and had the most amazing pizza, salad and wine for a fraction of the price. I am extremely disappointed that the Sofitel doesn't cater for vegetarian guests. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: NONE bar one, gnocchi. No starters at all.
