We were going to the barracks to find something quick to eat and then stumbled on the peasant menu board. My wife had the pork belly and breads, I had 4 different tapas and was totally gob smacked with each one. View all feedback.
What Shaira Fontana doesn't like about Peasant:
Tapas, atmosphere and service were ok, but the paella was a big disappointment, very spicy and reminded us more to a Mexican rice, rather than to a Spanish paella. View all feedback.
Popped in for a quick tapas dinner before the theatre. Has a great feel. Loved the look of it and the staff were very friendly And the food arrived quickly. My only two issues were that it’s quite hard to hear as there’s no soft furnishings and everything echoes, also, mayonnaise on potatas bravas was not my thing.

Have been a number of times. Food fantastic and wine suggestions are very good. Have been for romantic dinner a number of times and also a small group for lunch Venue suited both
This Spanish style restaurant is let down by a sommelier that is more interested in chatting to bar staff than service. We waited 20 mins for a wine and had to get up from our table and go to the bar to ask for it. Twice. Our waitress then tried to tell us it wasn’t her fault that she didn’t notice this and the dirty plates and glasses left sitting on the table for a lengthy period. This is not a large restaurant and there were spare tables. We had also made a reservation however they tried to seat us on the walkway and then on stools. We were finally begrudgingly given a table when we explained we needed a proper chair for medical reasons and didn’t want to sit opposite the Coles. Not good enough when the service next door the night before at Libertines (and the food) had been amazing.
