The coffee gets a pass mark, although it is often suspiciously sweet. But their idea of a breakfast wrap is borderline offensive. A sloppy arrangement. Killed by moisture. This item did not last one bite before collapsing. Never again. thedearluncher.wordpress.com

Beyond disappointed! I ordered a veggie wrap, took one bite and threw it out. The wrap itself was very eggy and soggy. The contents of the wrap clashed and it did not taste nice at all. For $4 I also ordered a side of sweet potato chips which was a very minimal serving, had no flavour and was cold. In addition to that, the aioli that comes with the chips tasted like plastic/chemicals.

Lovely menu, great location! This cafe is on Adelaide St almost directly across the road from ANZAC Square and next door to Chemist Warehouse - excellent location. One of the first things I noticed as we walked in, is that they are big on providing gluten free and vegetarian options. Now I know a lot of places offer these options but more often than that, there aren't many options on the menu. Staff were friendly and our drinks came to us within a few minutes of ordering and our food arrived at our table about 10 minutes later. I ordered the Sweet Potato and Sage Gnocchi with Grilled Chicken and my friend ordered the Spicy Southern Fried Chicken and Slaw. I wasn't too impressed with my gnocchi - the texture was not pleasant. It was gelatinous and seemed to 'bounce' off my teeth (for lack of a better word). The kale pesto was subtle but nice, tomatoes blistered nicely and the pinenuts provided much needed texture to the dish. The red onion was roasted nicely but it seemed that the spinach and peas were cooked down with the onions? I would have preferred that the spinach be served fresh just to add some freshness but it tasted lovely. It was just the gnocchi itself that was a tad disappointing. My friend enjoyed her meal - I could smell the spices from her chicken over my own food. I tasted the chicken and it was cooked to perfect but the breading had clumped on one piece so when I bit into it, the flour coated the roof of my mouth slightly. Overall, most of the elements of my meal were lovely, the service is quick, location is great and the price versus the quality and portion/quantity was very good. The menu is very enticing so I will definitely go back and try something different.
