Extremely friendly service provided by one of the male staff who seemed to be doing an excellent job assisting in making coffees, delivering coffees to tables and serving customers. The barista was exceptionally fast in making my coffee and wished me a happy Tuesday when I approached him asking to add sugar to my order. My coffee was delicious and made perfectly.
I have basically tried most of the coffee shops in Toowong & noticed this one the other day. Thought I would give it a whirl. Merlo is always great on flavor but have to say this one was not up to their usual standard.
I normally don't like Merlo coffee from any run of the mill cafe or any other of those standard coffees like that places like Gloria Jeans, McDonalds and Muffin Break that buy the coffee beans in bulk and are obviously not fresh. But Merlo in Toowong roast there own beans in their little cafe! I picked up a flat white and a cappuccino to go and was pleasantly surprised. Ok, I am very biased towards Josie North and The Single Guys but at 3.30pm and in need of a caffeine hit I definitely cannot go past!
5.2.2021 I decide to make a shopping trip for a big mocha before lunch. the service is a tad slow and it is almost 15 minutes before my order arrives. the mocha is intensive with a light note of cocoa powder and the drink should have rated 5/5. unfortunately the mocha is hardly warm. I still enjoy drinking this mocha, but it costs only 3.5-4!
I had a good, strong thin cappuccino of this place. the service was wonderful and I would be back if I ever were in the opposite and need a coffee.
