Have been meaning to try out this cute deli for quite sometime as we pass it so many times on the way to Chermside shopping precinct. This time I made sure to visit as we had to book a table due to new covid rules. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Avocado sliced with feta presented on a cute heart shaped bed of turkish bread. Coffee, being di bella, was rich flavoursome
Frank and Josie run this amazing and authentic Italian Deli down the road from the Chermside Shopping Centre. We’ve been here a few times and today the Brisbane Vespa Club were there too! Lovely to see all of the old and new Vespas there. Made it feel like we were in Italy! As usual, service was great, coffee was amazing and the Cannolis are to die for.
Whenever it was near Christmas, it would be a headache to find a good cafe that would open as usual to serve the locals for coffee. This year was the exception to me when I drove along the Gympie Road to look for any miracle. Bingo! I saw this cafe opened early in the morning inside a small shopping complex with ample parking so drove in to explore. It looked great outside particularly when I saw the signage of Di Bella Coffee. Walked in and found this is a deli cafe and the cashier barista was so busy in serving customers. I did not received a welcoming greeting smile, which was acceptable under such busy situation as long as there was a good coffee for compensation. Well, it was surely a reward after the first sip of my flat white. It delivered what I died for deep level of strength and strong in aroma. Thanks for the hardworking young lady.
Oh no, did I (and they) just do that? This delightful little Italian specialty food shop boasts award winning coffee (Overall champion, Compak Golden Bean award winner 2016). <br/ <br/ So, let 's get some! 'Vanilla Latte, please ' says me, and the lady, before I 've even properly toured the facility, whips it out faster than a bullet train. <br/ <br/ Speed isn 't everything, though is it? Well, enough of the teasing, and is there any genuine coffee pleasing? Well, the great news is this coffee is both rich and powerful with lovely flavour. I could genuinely see it up there with the 'Creme De La Creme ' coffees in Brisbane.<br/ <br/ However, the train is derailed by vanilla syrup overkill of the loosest order. It was a real date destroyer, this one; next time when testing award winning coffee, a note to self, keep it flat white or Latte standard. Note to Amici Deli; measure your syrups or all that expertise is left looking shy!
I was in Brisbane for 6 months on business. I lived 200 mtrs away from this hidden gem. The coffee here is to die for, the taste is so bold yet not overwhelming and the store is a true Italian experience. Frank and Josie are pillars of the community and its so nice to see that spirit in this modern day and age. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS 5 stars every day of the week
