Natraj, a popular Indian dining spot, offers a varied experience. While some diners rave about the flavorful dishes and attentive service—particularly praising the chicken shakuti and the ambiance—others have faced disappointing meals marked by dryness and a lack of meat. Prices are reasonable, making it accessible, yet inconsistency in food quality and service timing seems to mar the experience. Most guests appreciate the warm atmosphere and friendly staff, and despite varied opinions, many express a desire to return, indicating a charm that keeps patrons hopeful for a better experience on future visits.

Friendly staff, efficient service and excellent food

Amazing eating, we were in front of the place in a hotel and tried to get into a chain restaurant on the street, but was fully booked, we found this place in the city center and so glad that we did. eating was a high point actually eating the best Indian restaurant we cost. we were served all night by an older gentleman who was just brilliant and entertained the children. if we are always easy, we will return to our finals.

Good, tasty food at a reasonable price. Good service too. The only (minor) criticism was the haste at which the staff attempted, covertly, to dismiss us from the table e.g. cleaning up around us and wiping the table down on a few occasions!

We visited last night just for a couple of simple dishes. I had the tandoori chicken it was totally dried up. For a main I had my go to dish of Lamb Rogan Josh. It was bulked out with six large quarters of tomato, I know it’s supposed to be a tomato sauce dish but there was no evidence of this in the sauce and the few lumps of lamb. It’s quite cheap with the starter at only £3.20 and the main at around £7.00 but it was not a pleasant experience. Won’t be visiting again.

Booked a table in advance for 7:00pm for 4 people. On arrival we were seated and given menus ordered a round of drinks. The waiter then returned 3 times to ask for our order before we had chance to read the menu. Following our order, the food was served quickly however the dishes were watery with very little chicken in two of them. We pointed this out to the staff who asked how many pieces of chicken where in the dish! The meals were replaced which was good, but the dishes served where exactly the same watery flavorless with a very little meat. I have been a number of times to this restaurant with no issues but his was very a very disappointing experience.
