It was absolutely delicious.

I must say, it was one of the best b... read more My group of six adults and three dogs recently stayed nearby and visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I must say, it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. One person in our group had dietary restrictions and the staff were very accommodating. If there were a 6-star rating, I would definitely give it to this place. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by - you won't be disappointed.

This little place is just fabulous. We were made to feel so welcome, it had a real comfortable feel about the place. The staff were nice, polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Now let me get on to the important bit..... The afternoon tea here is amazing, there was a good choice of Teas to choose from (I had the Norfolk blend, nice and strong! We were also offered a choice of cake which was a nice touch, and the huge scones with jam cream were really scrumptious. The sandwiches and the fillings were absolutely beautiful, and lots of filling (no scrimping in this place a proper tasty plate of sandwiches, with great fillings nothing too flash or poncey, lovely bread too. By far the best afternoon Tea I've had and I've had plenty of London ones including The Ritz (sorry Ritz but this place wins I wish this little Gem was nearer to me as I would be a regular customer for sure.

Selo, Linda, Sam and all the staff at tabnabs have always made us feel so welcome. I challenge anyone to find a local cafe that beats it and the afternoon tea remains the best in Norfolk! I arranged a friends baby shower here with afternoon tea and it was amazing. Plenty of sandwiches which a large selection of fillings. The scones are to die for I joke but I would fight you for one! And the cake selection is fantastic!!! All diets and allergies are catered for. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming indoor and outdoor seating available. Plus a cosy upstairs for a private function or peace and quiet. If you are considering a visit then don’t hesitate you will never be disappointed! Thank you for sharing your lovely cafe with our family over the years. Keep up the good work xxx

This was my first visit and both my wife and... read more This welcoming Cafe/restaurant is situated near the church in the village of Mattishall some 5 miles from Dereham. This was my first visit and both my wife and I were impressed with the range of food available on the menus. We opted for a sandwich the perceived lighter lunch option !! The sandwich was packed with filling and served with either chips or crisps and was accompanied by a salad with a tasty dressing and a mouth watering slice of watermelon. one of my grandchildren had the special Rump steak meal how on earth did he get through it all !!! His dad had the home made burger and was beaten! This has to be the best eatery in the area including Dereham sensibly priced huge portions and a delightful outside area to eat under great modern parasols. We will return and have no hesitation in recommending Tabnabs to friends and family
