Koi Japanese Bray
Koi Japanese Bray
Description
Koi in Bray offers both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, with mixed reviews on the authenticity of the Japanese food. Some diners found the dishes lacking traditional Japanese flavors and variety, while others praised the quality of the sushi. Despite inconsistencies in the food, many enjoyed the warm service and pleasant atmosphere. Overall, Koi is seen as a decent option, especially for those looking for affordable prices and a welcoming dining experience.

Amazingly good sushi! Freshest sashimi we've tasted in Ireland (the raw salmon is divine), perfectly cooked tempura prawns, gyoza, agedashi tofu and edamame beans. And all of it beautifully served in wooden boats with the right condiments. Having moved from Singapore almost two years ago, I missed having good sushi you didn't have to pay through your nose for (and easily found in every mall there). Nothing wrong with the supermarket variety here but smoked salmon doesn't have the same sweetness fresh sashimi has. The sushi here is reasonably priced, fresh and varied enough for those who do not like raw fish. My kids loved their avocado and cucumber versions. I wish we had the space to try the other dishes that evening, like the ramen, but we'll definitely be returning next time we're in Wicklow/Dublin (we live in North Cork The restaurant looks like it's family run and they're a lovely, friendly lot. Sorry no pics as we were too busy scoffing the food...
Really enjoyed dinner here. We had sushi, tempura veggies and fish, gyoza and the salt and chilli chicken. It was really tasty and good service.
The food was AMAZING! Super clean , DEFINITELY recommend. That said , It’s an AMAZING restaurant WILL go again !!!!!!
