Feedback
The restaurant offers a decent quality of food with a decent service, however, some customers have expressed concerns over the significant increase in prices in recent months. Despite this, the restaurant has a large selection of vegetarian and meat dishes, with generous portions. While some have praised the food and service, others have criticized the customer service as lacking in hospitality and professionalism. Overall, the restaurant is known for its authentic Indian dishes, with the Cholle Bhature and Amritsari Kulcha being highly recommended. Despite mixed reviews, the restaurant seems to be a popular choice for those craving Indian cuisine in the area.
This place initially started to be well known in our group for its mithai (sweets) that the people of Indian subcontinent would either have it on occasions or would take a pack of sweets for the host. Initially the food here was spicy to the Indian level and as many in the family couldn't handle the dishes, we stopped. We were on our way home from an event and thought of giving it a try. Ordered a Veggie Thali and an order of Chole Bature (chickpea curry with two deep fried bread (batures) and Vegetarian Fried Rice and this was the only dish the server said I can assure will not have dairy (butter, mainly). The order was prompt and service by the server was quick. He was very knowledgeable about the dishes. We requested the Fried Rice to be made with minimal of oil. The curries were noticeably less spicy than before and were to the mark. The quantity was more than plenty. The cost ($12) for Veggie Thali although noticeably higher than perhaps anywhere in Brampton. The Chole perfect and bature were perfectly fried. The Fried Rice was ordered with less oil and did come as requested. The quantity of vegetables in rice was less to our liking.
We have been to this restaurant quite a number of times - esp. when a craving for Chaat/ Chana batura type comfort food sets in. Have always accepted is a family run, focus on food type restaurant - not expecting much in terms of ambiance, cleanliness, or service. All this is strictly average. You sit, order, eat, go. A couple of days ago I ordered Goat curry, and Chicken tikka masala for take out. Honestly, I haven't had such poor quality food in ages in the GTA now. The goat curry was pathetic - watery, tasteless with a really bad quality pieces of meat floating around. I realized it wasnt boneless - (which is ok as curry tastes better with bony pieces), but I was stumped with the pricing which was at par with real fine dining restaurants with real / genuine cooking and presentation. The chicken tikka masala was way too over spiced - you could taste the actual spices, something like a spice mix powder mixed in on top of the base masala. If Kwality wants a spot in the list of good Indian restaurants in GTA - I guess they need to get their head out of the sand and look around to see how other restaurants are improving and fine tuning their offering - instead of sticking to the typical Punjabi village style rough & rustic way of cooking and presenting. The clientele is evolving (I hope!)Only positive I can think is the gentleman behind the counter - he was polite, polished and smooth. Wish their food was the same. :-)
I had lunch today with my old-time buddies. We arrive around 1:30 and was promptly seated. This is a sit down restaurant, therefore you have to order from the menu. I am vegetarian and went for the Vegetarian Thali, which gives you a choice of three curries, rice, naan and a sweet. Just enough for a not so hungry person. There is large selection of vegetarian items on the menu. You can also order Hakka Style as well as dosa. My friends ordered two meat curry dishes with Naan and rice. The portions were large.Food was served promptly and was hot and looked very delicious. We had no complaints but the bill was a surprise. Lunch without drinks for three persons was $66.00. Expensive for lunch for Indian food in Brampton. This is definitely not fine dining. Not sure whether, I will return to this location as there are many options nearby.
We have been going to Kwality from many years but recently their service is very poor specialy on weekend. Place was not clean. No one came to ask...
