They had a great selection of desserts on the menu, but I was too full to try them this time.

It was, we thought, a pretty reasonable... read more Until couple of years ago we used to eat at this pub fairly frequently but for various reasons had not been for a while. It was, we thought, a pretty reasonable 'pub grub ' place: simple basic meals at a fair price. We were in the area this week and wanted a simple, cheap lunch so called in. Initially we were surprised how few people were there but it was a little late and we thought the lunch rush had gone. The menu seemed more pricy than we recalled but the waitress was friendly and we placed our orders. The food was awful and much of it remained on the plate. My guess would be that much of what we were served had been cooked some time ago and warmed through. Sometimes it might be just what we had chosen but we had different things and it was a close run thing which was worse. Not a place we will be chancing again.

We would definitely come back again, highly recommended.
