Food was slow to come but of a decent portion and quality. The chocolate fondant was dry and over cooked, but we could overlook this due to some of staff they employ from management to service, it was refreshing to see. It hurt that we didn’t get the time for the spa we paid for. The highlight was the Tabasco sauce bottle on the table and wish we’d had it off. If this was a supermarket it would be the Spa budget grade. But gold stars for the employees who look like they sat on a tennis racket
Amazing cakes, lovely cafe attached to a hotel, me and my wife are regular customers, very lovely here. Never fails to impress!
We received a voucher for dinner at the Bistro and decided to kick off the Easter holidays with a special meal. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our table. The restaurant is part of a sports bar complex, so we saw a group of ladies dining in their robes and heard the occasional frustrated shout from a missed shot, but overall the atmosphere was peaceful. Our starters were delicious, but we couldn't resist the lamb steaks which were flavorful and tender. We wished we had asked where they were sourced from. Of course, we couldn't skip dessert - my wife indulged in a generous serving of crumble with custard, while I enjoyed a lemon tart with Chantilly cream. We had a wonderful evening overall. Just a tip - if you don't want to see middle-aged men sweating, avoid facing the viewing window or dine in the main hotel restaurant on nights when they are serving.
We recently attended a 50th birthday celebration at Prested Hall and had a wonderful time. The afternoon tea, dinner, and breakfast were all delicious. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere, though it would have been even better if the fires were lit. Our room was comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
We went for Sunday lunch with some family members who had recently gotten married at this restaurant. The place is charming and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the staff were very polite. The only downside was the atmosphere in the dining area, which felt like it had been set up for a function rather than a regular meal. Despite this, we would still return for the delicious food. Another group was enjoying afternoon tea, which looked lovely. After dinner, we moved to the lounge area, which was a bit chilly. Overall, it was a good experience and we would definitely go back.
