What Tonya Cronin doesn't like about The Box Tree:
Food was overall good but very variable. Souffle, velouté, lemon meringue were all excellent. Some of the other dishes were average at best. In particular the fish was over cooked. Worst however was the timing, we waited about 30 minutes between courses and eventually (despite delaying the taxi by 30 minutes 3 of us had to leave halfway through dessert. The food was as good as the waiters and the chef cook were attentive to make sure that the meal was taylored to our intolerance and our requests. Cosy and full of character the restaurant is truly full of charms. The full experience was above our expertation, and we hope to have the opponutiny to come back. View all feedback.
