Loved it. It's got a laid back vibe, industrial kind of feel, some diy feels, which must help keep it affordable. It's not a large restaurant and it's popular, so it pays to book.We went as guests of a huge Chez fan, she loves the marinara and it didn't disappoint. All our meals were lovely, service was friendly and we'd be happy to return to try some other dishes. View all feedback.
What Jess the Blessed doesn't like about Chez Frederic:
Food was a bit inconsistent and lacking flavour. The cheese bread was good, but pasta was disappointing with no sauce on the special, and ravioli unevenly cooked with pieces still thick/chewy in areas. View all feedback.
Decent place for a meal. the eating was generally good and so was the service, but it takes really long to serve us eating / even drinks for this occasion. the server were extremely polite. I didn't like my risotto, but it was pretty good to eat. ps. they were really nice to serve me a little mousse when I was not satisfied with my risotto. I ate some brownies.
Used to do amazing ente ravioli and to affordable trips. but the service is down in the last 6 months. sometimes they have sold from the duck ravioli; sometimes they didn't even begin to give it to dinner (7pm.) someone tried to give me a light beer instead of the beer I ordered. order lost and everyone just seems a little fresh. it's a real shame because it used to be a highlight for italians in canberra.
We came to dinner with a work trip. recommended by the hotel where we were. first, the employees are beautiful. we ordered garlic bread and pasta dishes with desserts. because as soon as it came out, everything was obviously prepared and only needed to warm up again on the heart, although, wait, it seemed to be actually homemade pasta and fillings. I had the ravioli with a chicken filling that was really nice. another one of my colleagues had the gnocchi, which was also beautiful taste, but the gnocchi only needed to be rolled out and kneaded a bit more, nor was the sose well and gnocchi well heated. I didn't like that. far too much olive oil drowned the cheap French bread....read more
Ordered the loaded krabbenfries, cheeseburger gnocchi and spinat ravioli. Crab-Fries consisted of a melted cheese disc, an oily sauce and over boiled kartoffels all carry to a slightly deposited texture. the gnocchi was not much better, chalky in consistency with bolognese with masterfoods senf poured over the top. felt as if this court was more on trend than a considered balance of the aromen. spinach ravioli was the best of the baptism, but was still excessively rich and oily. very disappointing given the good call of restaurants.
