One could say that... read more We ate at Toro when it opened. The food was fantastic. We recently went back there to eat again and expect the same food. Boy, we were wrong. One could say that it was prepared before, then frozen, then heated to serve. I had a Luchador Burrito and there were two thin slices of pork on it. There were rice and beans, but none of the other foods were in it like the crema, cheese and pommes. My husband ordered the chimichanga and the chicken interior was frozen. The other person in our party couldn't even eat what she ordered. We all agreed that there was little to no alcohol in the margaritas. What a shame. A decent Mexican restaurant in Bozeman would be fantastic. It was a busy night in Bozeman, but not in Toro, and now we know why. On a positive note, the servers and hosts are very friendly and do a good job. It must be hard to serve people when obviously the food is subpar. We all agreed that we should have gone to Taco Bell instead.

This is not tex-me... read more This is our 2nd time at Toro. Our 1st experience was not great, however we are firm believers in 2nd chances. The food here has not improved. This is not tex-mex nor Mexican. The burritos are a gut buster. They weigh about 5 lbs and are not appetizing. The meet is tough and overcooked and the burritos are filled with fries, beans, rice, and overcooked meet. Terrible. Made us all want to hurl afterwards. The only thing good about this place are the chips. The salsa is not good at all and the smokiness overpowers any spice it once had. Save your money and go to a taco bus or somewhere else. It's a shame Bozeman lacks a quality Mexican or tex-mex restaurant.
