Was Anonym at Open Range Mt a mag?
We had an amazing dining experience. We made an early reservation for dinner because we had an early morning the following day. Our server was outstanding and very accommodating. We shared two entrees and an appetizer among the three of us. The bison steak was phenomenal, and the speck cut was impressive. What Anonym dislikes about Open Range Mt:
We were excited about this place. Especially since we are on Main Street almost weekly.. Plonk was great, but we wanted to give other restaurants a chance. The place is really nice and the music was a vibe. The hostess was very professional and nice. Or server was good. The appetizers were good. The shrimp was really good. But our main Entrées were cold. We waited patiently for cold food. I didn't want to be fussy, s... View all feedback.

I paid $72 for a ribeye that was just mediocre. The only redeeming quality was that it was cooked exactly as I requested, which is the bare minimum expected at any steakhouse. I've had steaks of similar or better quality at Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn for about half the price, and those meals included two sides and bread. We even had to return one steak because nearly half of the 16-ounce cut was pure fat—only about 8 ounces was actual meat. I've never sent food back at a restaurant before, but when you're spending that much on a single piece of meat, you expect to be satisfied. To make matters worse, we felt dismissed when expressing our concerns about the quality of the steak as if we were inexperienced diners. They did offer us a complimentary sirloin in an attempt to make amends, which I appreciate. However, if we hadn't had a gift card, I wouldn't have considered dining here at all due to the high prices. I'm still puzzled about what exactly justified the cost. It feels like Open Range relies on unsuspecting tourists, while most locals would likely choose to spend their money elsewhere.

We had an amazing dining experience. We made an early reservation for dinner because we had an early morning the following day. Our server was outstanding and very accommodating. We shared two entrees and an appetizer among the three of us. The bison steak was phenomenal, and the speck cut was impressive. The beef steak was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths, perfectly accompanied by expertly cooked carrots, salad, and fries. While the dessert menu wasn’t quite to our liking, it did align well with the restaurant's distinctive theme. We highly recommend making reservations.

This is one of the finest spots for an evening meal. The restaurant truly excels during dinner service. The steak is outstanding, and guests are sure to have a wonderful experience here.

We hosted a dinner for our national conference at this restaurant, and it was an amazing experience. The service staff were exceptional, and the menu was perfectly executed, showcasing the best key lime pie I have ever had. The bar provided excellent service and offered Montana-inspired drinks that everyone loved. Some of our association members, who have been attending events like this for 35 years, said this was the best conference dinner they've ever experienced. Great job all around! I would absolutely host another event at Open Range.

I had a wonderful dining experience last night. I ordered the burger, which came with a side of asparagus and melted blue cheese. While the overall menu is on the pricier side, the burger was reasonably priced and delicious. The drink selection was also excellent, and the bartender (I think his name was Tyler) provided great recommendations. The service was attentive; my glass was never empty for long. The staff was friendly and engaged in conversation while efficiently managing their tasks. Just be sure to check the prices before you sit down so you know what to expect on the bill, though that’s a good idea wherever you go.
