The wine selection was quite limited and only average. The food did not meet expectations; one dish was so unsatisfactory that it was inedible!
Bowral was quite bustling when we came across this bistro with available seating. I decided to order the ploughman’s platter. It took longer than expected for it to arrive, which was unusual given that there wasn’t much cooking involved. The staff kindly informed me of the delay, and when my dish finally arrived, it was beautifully presented. However, something seemed off. It wasn't until I tried the prosciutto that I realized it was the odd ingredient in what should have been a traditional English dish. Upon examining the menu more closely, I discovered that the staff had substituted the Pork Pie with prosciutto without consulting me. It’s puzzling why they wouldn’t ask before making such a change, and it leaves me wondering what else might be hidden from customers.
The restaurant is not very family-friendly, as the staff showed little interest in accommodating children. We were informed that we needed to "book high chairs," yet we noticed other families dining with their kids without any. Meanwhile, what seemed to be the only high chair available was left unused in a corner. While the food was excellent, the service from the staff was disappointing.
Great place other than the sleepwalkers
Wonderful food. The best waitess I ever had. What fantastic service. 1 would recommend her for the employee of the year. Nothing was a problem for her. And a beautiful smile. l loved the curry. Monday night special
