My Neighbor Felix is an excellent Mexican restaurant situated in downtown Boulder. The ambiance is lovely, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. They have a variety of vegetarian taco options, such as spicy cauliflower and Portobello Al Pastor, as well as an impressive drink selection. On weekends, they also serve brunch items. We sampled the Old Bowl, Portobello Tacos, and My Neighbor Nachos, all of which wer... View all feedback.

I came here in October 2023. The place is nice and cozy. It was bustling, and we had to wait a few minutes to find a table. The food was good, but something really bothered me that day. I ordered a salmon salad, intending to take it to go, but there was a misunderstanding, and they accidentally threw it away. They made me wait to speak with the manager, who said it would take a couple of minutes to make a new one. I couldn’t wait any longer, so I left. They didn’t even offer to refund the salad, even though it was a full bowl, not leftovers. Also, keep in mind it’s pretty pricey.

I had the burrito there. Be ready for no customization. They told me that since the burritos are pre wrapped, you cannot order the burritos without certain things. The food was hard to eat because of how they plate it. They had the burrito cut into fourths and falls apart when picked up.we arrived at 6:30pm and didn’t get our food until 8:17pm. So it took us 1 hour and 47 minutes to get our food. No apologies. They also made me wait an additional 15 minutes for my food (everyone else got theirs). They did apologize for that though. The burrito was not amazing. Originally everyone came for enchiladas but they were all out.The waiters and waitresses are super nice and attentive though and that was probably the only good thing about my experience. It’s not their fault the kitchen staff took so long and forgot an orderBut I wouldn’t come back.

The food was quite delicious, but it felt a bit pricey for what it offered. The atmosphere was enjoyable and vibrant, though it did seem somewhat generic, being part of a small local chain. The margaritas didn't stand out much, but the nachos were fantastic and had a unique twist compared to those at other Mexican restaurants.

My Neighbor Felix stands out as a vibrant Mexican restaurant in downtown Boulder, offering a delightful ambiance that enhances the dining experience. While the food generally receives favorable reviews, particularly the chicken tacos and vegetarian options like spicy cauliflower, some appetizers fall short. The drink selection, highlighted by standout margaritas, complements the menu well. Although the overall experience is enjoyable and service attentive, diners note room for improvement in certain dishes and portion sizes. With its artistic decor and focus on community, My Neighbor Felix remains a compelling spot for both casual outings and lively gatherings.

Lovely Mexican restaurant is not the classic Mexican food, I might say the food is very different to the tex Mex. I did enjoy the sauces with the tortillas they were handmade. My fajitas were delicious the meat was very tender the vegetables were perfect. The black beans were delicious very creamy. The service was polite and nice. The decoration of the restaurant was very cozy. The margaritas and alcoholic drinks were top they have a nice bar. The toilet was very clean One thing they should improve their churros they were not tasty … the recipe isn’t like the Spanish churros.

Pros: Great atmosphere and very attentive service Cons: Food is good but not great, and the value isn't there. Would be nice if they brought chips to table complimentarily. Would not order salsa trio again, certainly not worth $8

Great vibe. Nice menu. Good spot for groups, friends and date night. Nice and attentive staff. Pretty standard Mexican food menu. Nothing wow-worthy but not bad.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. It was a great experience. The food tasted great, tacos were amazingly tasty.

My Neighbor Felix Boulder is a cool spot with delicious food! Unlike many other places on Pearl, it’s reasonably priced. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed a towering plate of tasty nachos from their menu—yummm!

The ambiance is charming and well-designed. The drinks were delightful, and the spicy margarita stood out as one of the best I've had, with a nice kick to it. The food was also quite good! The bartender was friendly and attentive.

This is an excellent place for tacos and happy hour drinks. I truly admire their support for all the families impacted by the Marshall Fire. Tacos never fail to lift my spirits!

Atmosphere is nice, craftfully designed. Drinks were good, spicy margarita was one of the best ones I’ve had (actually spicy). Food was decent! The bartender was friendly attentive.

So first things first. 2 stars are because of the drinks. It was a birthday celebration so we opted to share the Megarita which is a 56oz margarita to share. It. Was. WEAK. Partner commented that it almost didn’t taste like there was tequila in it. wearen’t big drinkers so you’d think we would have gotten at least something from it but, nope. Nada. Not even a slight buzz. And when you consider the price point of $30, you’d be better off getting a regular margarita or even just buying an entirebottle of tequila. The food was decent, 4ish stars I’d say. We got the salsa trio, which was ok (parter really liked it), thequeso fundido which was also pretty good but small portion. Chicken tacos which were really good, and the goddess bowl which wasalso good. The rice was very good and tender as well. If you come here stick to the entrees. The apps and drinks are just…‘meh’ at best and disappointing at worst. It’s likely we won’t return.
