Mateo - Boulder

We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to our table even with a reservation. It took almost an hour to receive our entrees. The tables are placed so close together that the waiters kept bumping into each other while moving around. This is our second visit and the previous experience was much better.

It took more than 45 minutes to receive our food and it was disappointing. The second experience was identical. Most likely will not return.

I had a reservation and was seated immediately, waiter came right over and told what beers were on tap. We each ordered an entree, I the had that skin in boneless chicken in a butter sauce which is consistently amazingly delicious. My friend has the steak Whitbeck enjoyed very much. Fries were crispy and hot. No dessert but another excellent meal at Mateo.

The beer wine selection was good, especially the IPA, the chicken was as good as ever pizza Monday is tasty too! Looking forward to next visit soon.

I have been a loyal customer of Mateo's for years due to their consistent food quality, excellent service, and great value. Their happy hour is wonderful and I always receive terrific service.
