This is one of the *best* cafés I have ever visited. The dishes, coffee and service were excellent. We sat as soon as we arrived and received our food within 10 minutes order. My wife and I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and Cajun breakfast, along with a famous Buttermilk biscuit with homemade jam and half order beignets. What Grey K doesn't like about Lucile's Creole Cafe:
Eggs Pontchartrain was lacking in all areas, especially the portion. The only good thing was the flavor of the small piece of trout, but I do recommend the other brunch dishes, as I sampled them from others in my group. Be prepared to spend $25+ to get a filling meal Service was extremely slow and lackluster. Definitely a staffing issue. View all feedback.

Really cool and unique atmosphere. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. We ordered some food for breakfast and everything was so good. I would definitely recommend this place if you were looking for a good Brunchplatz in Boulder.
Great service... GREAT South food...big portions. I had to try a place with Creole in the name of Boulder. I'm glad I did it. Beignet's and ugly coffee, black salmon... shrimps and grits. I had the shrimps and grits and my guest had the black salmon...
Great little place. An old home that is converted into a restaurant and food is cheap. It is busy, but this is a good sign and portions are very satisfied. The staff was very friendly and a must when you are here! Try her homemade jam with the cookie.
Would give 100 stars if I could! Incredibly tasty, new-orleans style food in a home converted into a restaurant. The beignets were to die for and the homemade jams that are served with the biscuits are delicious. The best food we had in boulder!
