Great banh mi sandwiches, inexpensive. The pork and the beef are my favorites. Good spring rolls, good pho, but they don't stand out the way their fresh bread sandwiches do.Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What Michael L doesn't like about Banh Mi Pho U!:
I ordered the pork vermicelli , the pork is really dry like it wasn't made fresh, like it was heated in a microwave. As a Vietnamese food, it lacks flavor. There's just something off about the pork. I've had this meal at many different places and this item is just completely off. View all feedback.
I've mostly ordered delivery from this restaurant, but I did pick up my food once. I wish the Vietnamese Ham sandwich had a bit more pâté on it. I really enjoy the Grilled Pork (Heo Nuong) and the Fried Egg Rolls. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant is located in a business park, but I truly believe it's worth a visit just for the Bahn Mi. It gets quite busy during lunchtime, as many employees from the surrounding businesses come by, but I found it easy to find a seat. I definitely recommend giving it a try! Food: 5/5
I ordered the pork vermicelli, and I found the pork to be quite dry, as if it had been reheated in a microwave rather than made fresh. As a Vietnamese dish, it really lacked flavor. There was just something strange about the pork; I’ve had this meal at many different places, and this particular version was disappointing.
Delicious, satisfying, generous portions without being too big.The sandwiches are served on fresh bread that is baked in house, fragrant and light with a perfect golden crust. The spring rolls are *stuffed* with fresh crisp veggies that let the shrimp flavor stand out.The rice is fluffy, but holds together, and the noodles are precisely timed (if you've cooked glass vermicelli noodles before, you know they can turn to mush instantly.)The star though, is the meat; it is tender, cooked to perfection, and marinated to add mouthwatering flavor.I especially appreciate that they don't feel the need to drown any of the dishes with heavy sauces to placate American expectations. The let the food speak for itself.I could see this become habit forming I just wish I lived closer!Vegetarian options: There are so many delicious options for vegetarians and vegans the tofu fried rice is fabulous, and they will happily make the spring rolls without shrimp if you don't eat seafood. Pho can be prepared vegetarian, as can the chowmein dishes.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to allow wheelchair access and the space is open enough to easily maneuver to order and to your table.
So yummy! The lemongrass bahn mi is my absolute favorite. Sometimes they run out of bread early so we’ve been a little bummed when that happens but overall very nice and tasty!
