Our cauliflower soup was more lik... read more We arrived on the dot but waited over half an hour for starters (other customers arriving after us were on their main course). Our cauliflower soup was more like a vegetable soup. We waited a further hour before the main course arrived. Food was ok but by then we were upset at the wait and unfortunately had to complain to the Manager He was very apologetic but our guests had to dash off to London and it make the whole experience difficult for us as hosts. We will return as it is a child friendly eaterie but will be more aware there can be long delays!! Sadly

The food was tasty, although not mind-blowing - just your standard quality pub fare. I appreciated the beer being served in a traditional jug, a nice little detail. The prices were very fair, coming to just over £110 for five main dishes and drinks. The service started off great, but we did have to wait a bit after our plates were cleared. Overall, no major issues and we would definitely come back again.

The alcoholic drinks were also served promptly. Sheila was a delight and I will definitely be returning to enjoy the great food and service again.
