The door under the restaurant sign was locked (10 minutes to 19:00), so I turned around some time, provided they opened at 7. A few minutes before 7 I returned, but the door was still locked! I went down to the hotel door (a few meters away) to ask if the restaurant was open for dinner and found that the hotel door leads directly to the restaurant! I am sure the surrounding singings explain this probably, but my rudimentary German is not so good! So my first tip is to get what the hotel entrance looks like. Once inside, it is a very cozy facility with seats at the bar or in a variety of open and remote areas. The menu is very comprehensive and has a good selection of meat and vegetable dishes. I had the Jagerschnitzel and it was excellent! It came with a large portion of French frits and a fresh garden salad with dill dressing. I also had a bottle of water and a hot beer for under €16! I wish I had room for dessert, but the portions were very generous. The city is pretty quiet, but the restaurant had a quiet business. There is also a grocery store over the street for other items you need. It is a short walk from Hotel Domane Walberberg (about 12 minutes walk).
