The portions were adequate, leaving me feeling full. The prices were fair, in line with the national average. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the tasting of six local cheeses. I would have liked them to explain what I was eating. I asked the waitress, who was annoyed and impatient, telling me the names but not providing any further information. I would suggest improving this situation to ensure excellent service.

Then came the polenta with porcini mushrooms and cheese, and bresaola with buffalo mozzarella. Very good, but the sciatt appetizer beats them all. Adequate value for money. Service was so-so: I think it took 20 minutes for them to come and take our orders.

Why on earth does a restaurant think it’s ok to serve one persons main course 20 minutes before the other person? The carbonara was dry and disappointing, the salad was boring, the pizza was ok but compared to the excellent service and food in every other place we’ve eaten in Bormio this is getting 1 star and a recommendation to avoid.

The place is clean, reasonably... read more Kuerk is a nice pizzeria/trattoria that happens to be located at the beautiful Piazza Cavour in Bormio. Pizza in crisp and tasty. The place is clean, reasonably priced and service is good. It it not something special but did the job, but the view from the window towards the church was amazing, indeed. There are also some tables outside (on Piazza Cavour) where you may sit, that is, if the weather allows.
