Holy Smoke was our favorite breakfast spot for the past year, but our last two visits were disappointing. There was a long wait, and it seems like they have a new cook because the food was cold and undercooked. It's a shame because I used to love this place, and there aren't many other cozy breakfast spots like it. We won't be returning until they hire more staff. View all feedback.

If you're in search of authentic Texas barbecue, this is not the place to go. It may be hit or miss for some people, as I had seen some tantalizing dishes online before ordering. I opted for a combo plate with brisket, pork, ribs, and sausage for $20. Unfortunately, the portion size did not justify the high price. Had tried Holy Smokes a few times a few years ago thought it had gone down hill. Wife and I gave it another shot the other day and it was excellent. I especially enjoyed the sausage plate.
Didn't get a chance to try the food. Walked in and the place was almost empty at 12:30. A lady said sit anywhere. We sat down and waited while one employee stayed seated and the other walked to the other tables and then the kitchen. Nobody acknowledged us at the table. We had limited time and figured if we couldn't even get someone to take our drink order we would never get our food in time. We got up and walked out passing an employee that just looked at us and never said anything. Very strange customer service experience. Sad too.
Super good food! I ate way too much but I couldn't stop eating! Service was great and really quick to answer questions and refill drinks. One of my favorite places in town!
