Galito - Borgarnes

The restaurant offers a great selection of dishes. We had the vegetarian pesto pasta, the kids pasta and prawn wrap. All the items were delicious.

Me and my girlfriend were at Galito and we took the Hamburger (bearnaise and jalapeno). It was really tasty and warm, even the fries were crunchy and good. They gaved us the icelandic water like a welcome. We reccomend to eat there.

In 2 years of living in Akranes I finally got to go to Galito. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. The vegan burger is super tasty, I love everything that they put inside: beans, avocado, tomatoes, mushrooms. The fries were a bit cold but I don't mind, I love fries. Bonus: The take-away pizza offer with 2 ingredients is a bargain and tastes amazing. Very nice dough!!!

Superb bread with red pesto! The music is very odd for the appearance of the restaurant though. The decor gives it a classy feeling (modern colors: grey, black, wine. Recessed lighting etc). For the meal we shared the minke whale, it was the softest/ most tender red meat that just melted in your mouth. The wasabi cream mixed with the soy sauce was superb, giving a bit more flavor to the whale. My wife had the langostien pizza and I enjoyed the jalapeno BBQ burger. The food was well worth the cost, the burger was much better then the other 3 I've eaten here in Iceland. Overall I would recommend this place. It's nice looking quality food and good prices.
