Good bistrot with good choice of starters and mains. Staff lovely to chat with (en français). Perfect for carnivores and a fair mix of types of meat. Close to the Marché des Capucins. Avoid during heat waves as there is no outdoors. View all feedback.
What Alexandra P doesn't like about Le Bistrot Des Capucins:
Food wasn’t too good at all. Set menu of limited options with some of these already limited options running out within an hour. Waitress wasn’t at all friendly; waste of money. Tasted like cheap mediocre food unfortunately . Had the duck confit and it wasn’t seared, tasted average, potatoes too salty, vegetables bland. Only saving grace was the bread and wine. Cozy place and food made with love. The service was really something we appreciated, the girls explained about a local delicacy ‘cherries’ in a type of liquor. Totally recommend this place.
The food was amazing. They offered quite few options on the menu. We were sitting next to the kitchen, watching the chefs prepare the food was interesting to see. The staff were very nice and quick to serve, considering the place was almost full. The overall atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent food in a lovely setting. Friendly staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Superb brasserie ! Yummy food, good wine options by the glass (and nice wine list), friendly staff, lovely environment in a vibrant neighbourhood of Bordeaux. Totally recommend it
