Superb service from the start, a really warm welcome. A few of us chose the rib of beer and it was magnificent, seasoned to perfection. The chips in goose fat were off the chart spectacular and as someone from Blasgiw I know a thing or two about fried food and chips, or Glasgow salad. The wine recommended by the waiter was delicious and matched the meal. Great value for money for the quality of the product and servic... View all feedback.
What Charlotte Thijs doesn't like about La Tupina:
beautiful restaurant in a small street. avoid that sitting in the exterior, as cars constantly use the street and it is very stinking with degassing, and loud. ruins the ambiente I am sure it is better in the restaurant. service was friendly personal language English snd menu were in English. the food was good. Very good Bordeaux address. My lunch canteen.
Welcomed Good product Good presentation of dishes We will say: excellent One of the best in Bordeaux
Excellent ! Everything, from the welcome to the cuisine, made us want to come back! As soon as you enter, the fireplace where a rib of beef is sizzling sets the tone for this real restaurant of traditional Bordeaux cuisine. The meats are perfectly cooked, the side dishes tasty and well seasoned. Finally, the service is impeccable, warm without being familiar and very professional. All the staff took great care (thank you François for my glasses! . I can’t wait to come back to Bordeaux to go back to Tupina!
The Tupina remains over the years and despite a change of leader since my last passage a must-have Bordeaux table. No chichi in service, no extension card and alambicated dishes: simple, traditional and local but of quality. Very traditional room, like the dining room of an old house. Beginning of very laborious service with a full room and a waiter who was to run everywhere and put an eternity to take care of me then it improved as the room was emptying. My dishes: Sanguette (Porc Blood Crêpe, Duck Creme, Persillade: delicious and full of taste La Macaronade de La Tupina (Pâtes, Fraîche Cream, Cèpes, Lard and Foie Gras: as simple as authentic and hearty. They don't go dead hand on the foie gras. Colonel Gascon (Sorbet lemon and Blanche d’Armagnac very fresh to pass the rest.
A restaurant like you like them: Generous, beautiful presentation, gustative pleasure, melting meat, fresh and local products. We came out with a well-filled belly, well-drawn belly skin. Unreproachable service, listening and attentive servers. We recommend it warmly. A little room but it adds charm instead. Special mention for decoration and fireplace! To discover
