Por... read more We stumbled upon this busy spot on our last afternoon in Bordeaux and decided to order lunch. I had the magret de canard (duck breast) and it was delicious. Portion was way larger than when I've had duck previously. Loved the accompanying grilled vegetables. My...husband had the entrecote and enjoyed it but would order the duck next time. As stated in other reviews, service can be slow depending on where you are sitting and who is your waiter. At the time there were only gentlemen and the one we had was fine but you can tell was a bit tired and distracted that day. In the end, my husband went inside to pay after getting tired of waiting for our requested bill to arrive. Their mint tea was a very good ending to the meal. We saw many people just enjoying it all around us.

The staff is amazing you can draw your own picture and put it on the wall...after a bottle of wine you can be Picasso. Perfect place. Oh...and creme brulee is delicious too

We were sat and told to wait minutes by the waiter ... th... read more Came here for a late lunch, starving hungry and with a bit of a time-limit, but by no means in a rush. We were sat and told to wait minutes by the waiter ... three times! We eventually managed to grab the attention of...another waiter after minutes of waiting, having seen our neighbours be served and drink an entire round of drinks. If we weren't so tired of walking to find somewhere we would have left by this stage. We ordered food and drink from a menu on the wall (we weren't even given a menu). Now, at this stage it sped up a touch and we did get the food in reasonable time, and it was divine. My partner had a very rich, gloopy croque monsieur. I had a phenomenal vegetarian burger that I would recommend to anyone. Like, it was HEAVEN. One of the best in the world. Having said that, by this point I think I'd have eaten my own leg I was so hungry. We had finished our beers by the time food came, so we ordered two more. They never came. So we gave up, paid at the bar, and left. It took nearly two hours for one course and drinks. People were getting up and leaving the whole time, and calling for the waiters. Chronically understaffed. Such a shame the food, location etc deserves the extra staff member to make this the brilliant experience it deserves to be.

The Ice Tea I recommend during hot summers on burgundy! The book lovers will appreciate the view overlooking the arrow that culminates in the square. And then there is enough room for the group of friends who want to take one or more glasses to discuss will also enjoy the place Improvement Point: offer a better map of beers to taste and enjoy the place. Nice fillings. exceptional situation, point of view on the Place and the Fleche. Very nice terrace. Welcome and very nice service. Also nice to have a drink or a coffee.
