Unbelievable place, great food, good service, we ate here at our first night in Bordeaux and as it was so good, we ate here on our last day. We are happy to be here again in the future. View all feedback.
What Victor Paris doesn't like about Bazaar Cafe:
It is an honest quality price restaurant for a quick lunch. The big plus if you arrived early or you do booking you can eat on the terrace. It is a place with out car. Staff friendly. View all feedback.
Was not able to open the digital menu. As such, I just ordered a glass of wine. Of course, it is hard to complain about a price if you did not ask, but a place like this question 11euro for a glass is from the ratio

Although very well located in a very chic district of Bordeaux, the establishment is not at all up to what one might expect. The server is the black spot, not even a hello, only a disdainful shrug of the head instead of What can I get you? and not even worth hoping for a thank you when leaving the terrace. Tourists and Bordelais go your way!
I didn't rate the service at this place as the waiter was a little arrogant when we requested if they had an English menu. Never mind we still sat down and ate lunch here. My boyfriend ordered the Bazaar Burger and I got the confit duck. To our surprise the food was really tasty. The pattie was juicy, cooked to medium rare and the confit duck was falling off the bone. A tad on the salty side but the red wine complemented the duck well so I didn't mind. Since both mains were pretty good, we decided to order dessert and got the creme brulee. It was one of the best creme brulee we both have eaten so thumbs up to the chef.
We arrived at 11:30. Most tables were set for lunch, paper placemats and knife and fork. One man was drinking coffee at a plain table. There were two other tables not set for lunch, but they were covered in what seemed to be cigarette ash and carried dirty coffee cups. I am particular about cleanliness, so we sat at the nearest table set for lunch. We know that tables set for lunch are for diners, but we were hot and weary and thirsty and expected to be gone in ten minutes after coffee. The waitress came out after a few seconds, and, in a not unfriendly style, said that the table was reserved. She pointed us back the way that we came, to the dirty tables, and went back inside. She didn't just put up with having to reset the table for lunch. She didn't ask what we wanted to drink. She hadn't already, and didn't then, clean the tables. The only way I would have approached those tables was with rubber gloves and a bucket. We left. I was quite upset by this experience, I thought it showed contempt for us as customers of the café and as guests in Bordeaux.
