Since my husband and I did not speak German, the owner/ chef came out to our table to provide suggestions. My husband had the dumplings with mushrom sauce and I had the spatzle which both included salads. They were both delicious (köstlich)! The service was great. The patio was lovely, too and the entire place was decorated so tastefully. We were so pleased to stumble upon this restaurant. It appears to be child-friendly, too.We couldn't leave without dessert: apple strudel for the hubby and chocolate molten cake along with fresh whipped cream, ice cream, and raspberries for me. Simply devine. During our meal the chef came out several times to check on us and to greet other guests. It's obvious he takes pride in what he does and wants to please. The Wirsthaus is off the beaten path a bit, but it's not that far from the river and definitely worth it.

We decided to take an... read more We took a Rhine river cruise and got off in Boppard. The town is wonderful, but we wanted to get away from the crowds for a relaxing meal. We decided to take any easy walk to Wirtshaus Anders. The proprietors were very courteous and easy to talk to, which helped since we don't speak German. Having traveled in Germany for several days, our group was eager to have a basic cheeseburger. The buns were homemade and the burgers were delicious. It was very comfortable and we ate outside and enjoyed the wonderful weather. The menu was very diverse and there were great options for vegans, etc. Well worth the walk!

The food is fresh and good, the staff very friendly, the interior is cosy and the garden welcoming. It is located at the base of several hiking trails - it was a great place for lunch after our hike along the Hunsruck route. If you're not hiking it is still well worth the short walk out of the centre.

There are Fritz Kola, beer from a small brewery of Allgäu and homemade lemonades. Pleasant ambience. Model hygiene concept for the purpose of the corona. Phone reservations worked best. Recommended!
