Traditional southern cooking with family style dining. No menu options except for dessert. More food than you could possibly eat, but generally a bit salty. Immediate service in a pleasant atmosphere. Plenty of on-site parking. View all feedback.

I'm from Florida visiting the area with my special family. We stopped for an early dinner. When we were eating at Dan'l Boone Inn for the first time, we were very impressed by everything! The property was easy to reach and very clean. The outside had an old antique car on the display and a beautiful garden area to take photos with the family. The interior had a warm and welcoming home feeling. The menu has been displayed and it is all you can eat for a price. The way this works is like a buffet, but you sit and the server brings you the food. Homeland cooking is what I would have expected to be served on a peasant table. The food was Yum Gooood! I don't eat much, but I had to have a second help for Steak! Each table is set with fine land porcelain panels. From what I can say looked like every table had its own patterns and color of dishes. The service was impeccable! And leave some room for Dessert!
Excellent. All you can eat, Landessen serves family style. They begin by making a dish of ham cookies. Then a certain menu where the meats are Fried Chicken and Country Styled Steak. Other dishes placed on the table include salad, potatoes, green beans, corn, Slav, roasted apples, chicken sword. You can reorder and each of the articles as often as you want. Dinner also includes dessert, where you can choose chocolate cake, strawberry short cake or banana pudding. As much as you eat for a very reasonable price. Very recommended!

Great variety of southern classics and food really came fast! We went to breakfast at 8:30 on Saturday. Since they are open at 8:00, the line was wrapped around the building and we've probably waited 45 minutes to get in. As we were closer to the door, an employee came by to put our names in the list. We left at 9:45 and there was no line anymore, so if you can go a little later in the morning, I would recommend it to avoid the line.
This place was great. You pay one price like a buffet, but they serve you and bring it to the table family style in bowls. We went to a similar place once and you sat at big tables with people you didnt know, this one you sit at your own tables. You get everything on the menu and can get more of anything you want. First they bring you a salad (summer) or soup (winter). Then they bring you a bowl of everything. Drinks and desserts are included. We got the Chocolate Cake (very good but super sweet) and Strawberry Shortcake. They also had Banana Pudding. We only got one serving of everything and left stuffed. It all was very good. I do have to mention the Fried Chicken was cooked to perfection!! They also do a Breakfast meal on the weekends. We went midweek around 1:30 and only waited about 15 min. But if you go on a weekend I would probably make reservations. They do turn tables over pretty quickly though. Would definitely go back if I could afford to eat like that, without gaining 100 pounds!!
