What Norris Witting doesn't like about Casa Rustica:
Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The place was very nice, and the staff was very polite. The food was cooked well, but I felt it was very embarrassing. You could definitely use more spices when cooking. The left at home were much better by simply saying a little salt. A star for brutality, an additional star for how well cooked it was, and a third star for the staff. My wife's in a wheelchair, and while I could put... View all feedback.
Great food, great surroundings. Enjoy a first-class dinner in a first-class ambience. A marvellous jazz duet ate us. The guitar and sax combined to play great old standards in an inconspicuous way. Very friendly waiter was very busy. A little slow on the beverage refills, but appetizers, salads, soups and ducks were served in perfect order with perfect timing. Your tea is very good! My French onion soup was disappointing, too vinegary with half melted cheese, but my shrimp cocktail was divine! Fresh, delicate shrimps with a sauce that was not too hot, just right. Husband's shrimps and scallops disappeared quickly; my chicken picatta dish was so big I got totally full and brought half home. Broccoli on the side was cooked to perfect tenderness. Husband reports teriffic tiramisu and beer and wine list. Women's room is bright and clean with a changing table. Toilet was slow to rinse, but the staff only assured me that during a certain cycle on the dishwasher. Had a great time here. Bring all your boss to your children, everyone will enjoy it! Many parking spaces are available on the back.
Good food, not great food. I was hoping for a little better. Portions are small for $20 lasagna with $4 of meat sauce, and a $2 upcharge for a Caesar salad The did accommodate gluten free with a gluten free penne pasta for my daughter, so that was nice. Friendly host team and super sweet waitress. Interior is smallish and a little cramped, but over all good experience. For 3 people for two drinks, meals, and tip was $125.00 ?
I was excited to try this place with the limited gluten free options in Boone. The service was nice, albeit slow. The appetizers were nice. The gluten free pasta was absolutely repulsive. It was doughy and broke apart whenever touched with your fork. Everyone at the table tried it and no one liked it. It was really gross. I wouldn't recommend it for gluten free pasta, but for non gluten free I'm sure its fine.

The alfredo dishes also taste amazing. No matter what I'm ordering, I'll leave the restaurant full and happy. Very recommended!
One of the best meals I had for a long time. Great salad, duck, wine and desert. Service was great. Friendly staff and romantic atmosphere. A solid A class. Thank you for a great night and delicious food!
