I loved that in spite of the chilly 40 degree temps, patr... read more We stumbled on Weinkommissar late one night after finishing dinner with clients on a Bonn walk street. I loved that in spite of the chilly 40 degree temps, patrons were sitting at benches outside with blankets provided by the bar enjoying their drinks. When we arrived it was 10:45 and when we asked as we sat down when they closed, the young bartender told us they closed at 11pm, but would let us know when last call came around. We ordered a couple of lovely German reds and proceeded to enjoy another hour or so of conversation and another glass of wine. Finally at nearly midnight we hear last call. While we didn't partake, we watched the the bartenders putting together lovely plates of charcuterie and cheese with bread. As we'd just had dinner, we just couldn't eat another bite, but it all looked so good. They had a great selection of wines and friendly service.

Based on a short description of our preference, they recommended us a very nice Sicilian white wine. The large portion of affettato misto was not that large,...but everything was of high quality.

A lot of great selection from many wineri... read more Beautiful place finally found in the centre of Bonn, to chill, to relax, to have a delicious wine in a stunning place. A lot of great selection from many wineries in Italy, and not only. The waiter was very nice and friendly, started speaking Italian...after he realized I was Italian, and offered me a blanket since I was sitting outside (no place for sitting inside, it was obviously very busy). Coming back very soon!

They have a great selection of wines and sparkling wines and several tables to sit outside and enjoy the weather. There is a small menu of snacks and tidbits to enjoy with wine. The olives were...delicious. The staff is really friendly and helpful, a very relaxed atmosphere. The only negative was that it if you want a glass of champagne you have to drink at least two for them to open a bottle, which I didn't want to do. That was too bad. But otherwise well worth the visit!
