Zakura - Bondi Junction
Zakura
Description
Zakura, a Japanese restaurant located in Bondi Junction, offers great value for money and delicious food. The cheap snack options are perfect for a quick fuel-up, and the salmon avo roll comes highly recommended. The Bento Boxes are popular among locals and business people, with dishes like Nabeyaki Udon and Tempura Sashimi standing out. The pan-fried dumplings and Katsu Curry are also must-tries, though some dishes, like the vegetable croquette, may be hit or miss. The Chicken Karaage is particularly moist and tender, and the Asahi beer is a hit. Overall, Zakura provides a pleasant dining experience with good service and fair value. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a full dinner, this Japanese gem is worth a visit.

I was after a cheap snack to give me some fuel for shopping. I see their sign for sushi for $0.99 and I am sold. I odered a seaweed salad, a salmon and avo roll, a chicken katsu nigri and a bottle of water all for under $7. The food was nice enough, I enjoyed the salmon avo roll. I was served by an older Japanese lady who was very friendly. This place is a bargain gem. We will have to stop in for a sit down meal next time. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
Great little Japanese restaurant on Main St. in Bondi intersection. Order the pan-fried dumplings for the starter, followed by the Katsu Curry. Both dishes were delicious, though I felt, although the salad was a bit unnecessary on the side of the Curry, and would have been better replaced by the rice. The service was great and a whole a pleasant experience.
Popular place for lunch. Must try out your Nioneyaki Udon and Tempura Sashimi. Yum. A little expensive, but quality agrees with the price. Grief Effect; Great food. Good service. Fair value.

We have returned back home in Hong Kong after spending last week in Sydney and Brisbane. We had an awesome time with family, and we enjoyed the beautiful Aussie winter weather of blue skies and sunshine a lovely respite from the muggy heat in HK. We could also show Zak the many stars, planets and galaxies that sparkles in the clear sky, something that we couldn't do in Tokyo and Hong Kong due to light pollution, high rises and particularly in HK smoggy haze. One of the reasons we were in Sydney was to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday. It was the first time in almost two years since the whole clan got together, but it wasn't without the dramas of having 5 siblings and the parents in one place, except now we also have partners and kids in the picture. We ate a lot of delicious food, and there is nothing like having a meal together as a whole family to smooth out those temporary agro feelings. My family, including the partners and kids. Yes, our group really did take up half the res
