Ugo is one of our favorite Gelateria in Bologna. We frequently visit it and La Bella Napoli as a pair since they are both on Via San Felice and we can have pizza at La Bella Napoli and then gelato on the way home (home is almost always near Piazza Maggiore). Good, it didn't shock me. Among the flavors tasted, I recommend cream and fior di latte. I didn't find it as shocking as described by many it probably retains a historical value that I don't know about since I'm not from Bologna. Still worth a try
The best gelato I’ve had in Italy! I tried pistacchio and nocciola. The cups are made of wafer! The staff are extremely friendly too. Fantastic.
I love ice cream but I only eat it if it's Ugo's and I can't enjoy any others. Cream and hazelnut are my favorite flavours. But they are all delicious. It has only one flaw: it is closed at the beginning of the week and in the winter months. And staying without tasting it for so many months is painful. The freezer for the supply is too small.
Ci siamo fermati per una merenda, passando per caso. Locale molto piccolo, datato, a mio avviso da ristrutturare, ma essendo un locale storico può andare bene anche così. I gusti di gelato sono pochi e super classici, ma ci può stare; la qualità è sicuramente buona, ma il sapore non appaga il palato, infatti risultano tutti poco saporiti e un po' piatti. Personale gentile. Prezzi alti.
